30 Days of Snail Mail

Now that our "Do Something" Challenge is over, I'm ready to start something new. So here is what I thought. Every day for the month of September, I am going to send out a letter, card, or small gift to someone I think could use some sunshine! :) Wanna do it too? I would love for you to join along! Together let's show this world some love!! It doesn't cost much either. Let's see, 50 cents for one stamp, 30 stamps, only $15!! $15 to bless, encourage, and make 30 people happy! Pretty good huh? Throughout the month, I'll post some things I have sent to help you with ideas. But it doesn't take much at all to just write a quick note of appreciation. :)

UPDATE: I just found out, today, September 1st, is National Letter Writing Day! Perfect huh?

"Do Something" Challenge End

As the month comes to a end, so does our "Do Something" Challenge. But that certainly doesn't mean we can't still make a difference. We can still do something to make everyone a little happier and smile a little more. But what did you to this past month to do something? I certainly had fun and hopefully next year we can do better! What do you think?? :)

"Do Something" Challenge Colored some Smiles

For one of my last things I am doing in honor of the "Do Something" Challenge, my sisters and I colored 20+ coloring pictures for Color A Smile. A non-profit organization that collects colored pictures and sends them to senior citizens, troops overseas, and basically anyone in need of a smile. Their goal is to, well, spread smiles! :) Something I definitely want to be a part of. Do you? Visit colorasmile.org to learn more about how you can help.

"Do Something" Challenge Start new Project

Yesterday I started a new project called "Project No Empty Mailboxes" It is something I created to bring smiles and cheer to college students. What inspired me to do is because, my sister, a couple neighbors, my cousin, and a few family friends are all going to college this year. I don't want a college student to go to their mailbox and find no mail. It might make them a little sad and a little more homesick. On the other hand, If they go to their mailbox to find a card, letter, small gift, or even better, a package. it might turn their whole day around! Do you want to help? Visit my Ministry Website at jeremiah313ministries.weebly.com Read more about this project and see ways to help. Thank you and have a great day! :) The Do Something Challenge is almost over, what did you do?

"Do Something" Challenge Birthday Cards

I recently made a bunch of handmade cards for some local shelter's kids. Parents in shelters, usually can't just go and buy a birthday card for their child on their special day. So I took action. I emailed a couple local shelters I have worked with before and asked if I could make birthday cards so the parents can give their child a card. They all happily agreed!! :) So I made 50+ some cards and I am going to send them to the shelters soon. Now I challenge you to make some cards and donate to your local shelter and make a child's special day brighter.

A Beautiful Song

Hey Guys! I heard this song today and I wanted to share it with you right away! Have you heard the song "7 Years" by Lukas Graham? Well this song is a rewrite cover and I personally think it is much better than the regular "7 Years". Well why don't you listen to it and decide for yourself. I hope it inspires to do something, be awesome, and change a world.

"Do Something" Challenge Leaving a Nice Tip

I wasn't planning on doing this act of kindness, but as I was sitting drinking my root beer, I decided I would. So I did. I left a bigger tip than I needed to and made the waitress smile. So easy and simple to make someone smile. So I challenge you to find those little opportunities in life to make someone have a better day. Okay? :)

"Do Something" Challenge Delivering candy

Also today, I got the awesome opportunity to bring candy around town. I brought a box to the Lady at the Post Office, my grandma's pastor, and to another lady who does so much! They all loved it so much!! The lady at the Post Office acted like it has never happened before, that someone would show kindness to her like that. I see that all the time and every time I do, I want to do so much more than I am doing. It stinks but I don't have a million dollars!! So I will keep going on "One smile at a time" :)

"Do Something" Challenge Bring Cookies to the Police Station

Today, we brought cookies and a thank you note to the police station!! :) The lady at the front desk was really surprised! Part of the reason I do acts of kindness is because I LOVE seeing the expressions of the people God has allowed me to bless. I just love seeing their surprised smiles! It makes me happy and I feel like doing more. Do you get that?

"Do Something" Challenge

Hey All! I know I just finished "31 Days of Love for the Elderly" but I have something else now. :) The "'Do Something' Challenge" I have completed and challenged others the past two years and I am here now to challenge you once again to this awesome and world changing challenge. Read all my posts about this challenge on my sidebar under the label "Do Something Challenge" and read the 2015 and 2014 challenge start posts to get a better idea about what this is.

For the month of August (30 days!!) I am going to be challenging you to make a difference and do something for our world and your community. I will be posting when I do something and maybe the idea will inspire you too! The song below is what inspired me to start this challenge. "Do Something" by Matthew West is one of my favorite songs. I want you to do service projects, volunteer, complete acts of kindness, bless others and really everything you can do to make a difference and
"Do Something"! Are you participating??? Please. :)
I now consider this challenge to begin in 3... 2... 1... GO!!!
