Brought yummy treats to very special people who work very hard day and night! The sound guys at church! :) HERE

I brought candy in for the five other people helping in the special class, 3rd and 4th grade! :) Okay, all the classes were special. :) HERE

I sent a happy envelope to my friend Lisa! :) HERE

I brought cookies in for the CNAs and nurses at a local nursing home where my sister works. HERE

I made a sunshine basket for my new friend Kyra! :) HERE

I brought flowers to a friend from church and I also helped her clean! HERE

I sent a "Be Creative" college care package to my friend Kyra who just went off to college. HERE

I made brownies for family friends! :) HERE

And then I did a few little things throughout the last month. HERE

And that is what I did the past month. I didn't do as much as I wanted to. But that's okay. Even though August is done, we can still make a difference in the lives around us every day! :) Keep the good work up! Have a great day! :)

"Do Something" Challenge - The Little Things

The "Do Something" Challenge is pretty much over. But I just wanted to tell you about the few little things I have done over the last month. It's the little things that count right? These are things I have done but I didn't feel like posting here. :) So here you go. The little things.

1. I left a snack for the amazing mailman. :)

2. I brought treats to my nurse at my orthodontist appointment. :) She appreciated it! Just a reminder, remember to do things for the people who don't get appreciated very often!

3. I gave a couple of brownies to my friend Hannah just to say thanks for being a great friend! :) She loved them! :)

I hope this inspires you to do something!!

"Do Something" Challenge - Brownies for Great Friends

Today we went to a party at our friends house. They are good friends of ours so I wanted to give them something as a little thank you for all they do. So the most logical thing to do is... Make brownies!!! :)

I hope they enjoy them and I hope this inspires you to do something!! :)

If you are discouraged, encourage someone else and you will feel better about your life!

2. Send a card with encouragement inside.
3. Send someone inspiring quotes and verses.
4. Bring a friend flowers with a card saying how loved they are.

If you can't smile, make someone else happy and you will be instantly smiling!
1. Bring a family or a friends a whole meal or just some cookies.

"Do Something" Challenge - "Be Creative" Care Package

I made a "Be Creative" care package for my new friend Kyra. :) She went off to college last week and I wanted to do something for her. So for when she is feeling stressed or bored, she can COLOR!!! :) It is really easy, simple, and cheap to make. Especially right now with all the school supplies on sale.
What you need.
Coloring utensils. I used colored pencils, crayons, and markers.
A fun folder.
Coloring pages or books.
That's it! :)

First I printed off some coloring pages for FREE! Then I put them in this really cute folder, so she can store them and so they don't bend on the way.

Then, I bought the coloring utensils! Like I said before, with all the school supplies on sale right now, buying these things were cheap! :)
And then I put everything in an envelope and added a picture that I colored on the back.
"If you can be anything, be kind." Great words to live by. :)

I'm shipping it out today. I hope she likes it and it makes her smile!
And I hope this inspires YOU to do something! :)

"Do Something" Challenge - Help and Flowers for a Friend!

Yesterday morning, I went to a friend's house and helped her with laundry and cleaning! I also brought her some flowers that I grew myself. She loved them! And I loved helping her. :)
Do you know someone who you think could use some help cleaning? Ask them if you can come over and help them. :) They can always say no. It's worth a try! :)

I hope this inspires you to do something!! Only a few more days left in the challenge... Get going! :)

Words from Mother Teresa

I love Mother Teresa! I love all that she did in her lifetime. So I want to share with you a few of my favorite quotes by her.

"How can there be too many children? That is like saying there is too many flowers."

"A life not lived for others, is not a life."

"Let no one ever come to you without leaving better and happier. Be the living expression of God's kindness. Kindness in your face, kindness in your eyes, kindness in your smile."

"It's how much we give but how much love we put into giving."

"Every time you smile at someone,it is an action of love, a gift to that person, a beautiful thing."

"Joy is a net of love by which you can catch souls."

"God has not called me to be successful. He has called me to be faithful."

"I am a little pencil, in the hands of a writing God, who is writing a love letter to the world."

"Kind words can be easy to speak, but their echoes are truly endless."

" I alone can't change the world, but I can cast a stone across the waters to create many ripples."

And one last quote.
"We may never know all the good that a simple smile can do."

There you go. :) Some of my favorite quotes. Have a great day!

Keep Calm and Eat Chocolate!

I created a label that you can add with chocolate and make a cute gift with. :)
Here it is.

You can copy it and paste to word doc and print how many you would like.
Then, you can add chocolate and this makes a very cute gift that you can give just because, or whatever you like! :)

Care Package Idea for a Older Lady

I recently made a care package for my grandma. And I thought I would share it here for you so you can make a care package for a older lady in your life.

First, I added something she could do and read. You could add any book you think she would like and anything that you think she might find fun to do. If she lives in a nursing home, having an activity book might be just the thing for her to pass time. You could also add a deck of cards for her to play with her friends.

Second, I added something that she might be able to use.
An agenda and memo book. :)

Last, I added some hand sanitizer and a pencil. Everyone needs a pencil right? :)
You can add anything she might find useful! :)

There you go! Now go and make one yourself! :)

"Do Something" Challenge - Sunshine Gift for my Friend!

A couple weeks ago when I helped with VBS, I made a new friend. And her name is Kyra. :) She is super nice! So this morning at church, I gave her a Sunshine box! :)

She loved it! And I loved making it! :)

I hope this inspires you to do something!! Only 15 more days till the end of the challenge...
Get going! :)

Happy Mail Envelope!

This is the day that Lord has made, I will be glad and send happy mail! :)
And that is exactly what I did today. :)
I made a little happy mail package and sent it out. :)

I always have fun sending happy mail and today was no exception!
I got a whole bunch of these inspiration chips and I love adding them in packages.

I got a bunch of colored gems at the local craft store for making cards, but I decided to use a few extra for this little envelope who wanted something something fun to be put inside itself! :)

Then of course another fun part of happy mail is decorating the envelopes!

Lots of fun and I hope the recipient enjoys it and it puts a smile on her face! :)

''Do Something" Challenge - Cookies for CNAs and Nurses!

I realized today that August is going to be over before I know it so I better get going with this challenge! So I apologize in advance if I post too much this weekend! :)

My sister is a CNA and works at a local nursing home. She had to work today so I thought it would be nice to bring in some treats for all the nurses and CNAs working today! :) So I picked some cookies out of my RAK bin and added a little sun on each package. :)

I hope they love their cookies! :) And I hope this inspires you to do something!

"Do Something" Challenge - Happy mail!

So today, for the challenge, I put together a little happy mail package and sent it out to a friend! :) I don't think there is enough snail mail going around these days... So I am "doing something" about that! When I send something out, I am inspiring myself to send more happy mail, I am inspiring the receiver to send happy mail because they now know how awesome it is, and I am inspiring YOU to send happy mail by posting pictures here on my blog!!! :) So now go and send happy mail! :)

Everything that went in it.

The outside all sealed up.

And of course all the stickers! :)

"Do Something" Challenge - Candy for VBS Helpers

This morning was our last morning of VBS. I was helping with the 3rd and 4th graders all week and so were 5 other people. They are super nice ladies! :) So this morning, I brought in candy for all five of them. Oh and also a little stress relief toy. :)

I loved making their "goody bags" and I loved spending time with them all week and making new friends! :) Thank you to everyone who made it such a fun week! I can't wait till next year! :)

I hope this inspires you to do something!!! :)
