For the Month of May

I wanted to do something for the month of May again this year. Last year, I did a RAOK every day for the month of May. I have been thinking, and I want to do a RAOK every day again this month. So, will you join me? :)

April 30th

It's been a while since I posted a national day. So today is National Hairstylist Appreciation Day! We can use this day to do a random act of kindness! Take the time to write a note of appreciation to your hairstylist or drop some donuts off where they work, or if you are really that busy... Send them a quick text or email just saying "Thanks!" :)

Care Packages

Recently, I gave away two care packages to two people who have cancer. Our dear friend died from cancer complications a week ago. Since then, I have wanted to do something for people battling cancer like her. So I made these two care packages for a young girl and a woman. (I am also giving another one away this coming weekend).

I hope you reach out to those around you. They don't have to have cancer for you to help them. Encourage and bless people just cause. You don't need a reason.

Happy Mail!

A happy mail package to be sent out!
I LOVE to send happy mail! So I decided it was time for me to do a post on it.
When you send happy mail, it does't have to be much (though I sometimes go overboard...). It could be as simple as a card decorated with stickers, all the way to a box filled with fun stuff! Either way, I'm positive it will bring a smile to the recipient and you also!!! Below is a list of things you might want to send someone including a picture of my stash! :) (Remember, it is okay to send fun things to adults! I send toys and stickers to adults!)

Happy mail items to send to someone:
Flower seeds
Colored pencils
Fun pencils
Doodle book
Coloring pads
Coloring pages
Mad libs
Little toys
Fun colored sharpies
Little craft sets
Nail polish
Card games
Word searches/crosswords
Pool toys
Beach balls
Confetti (lots of it!)
etc. etc. etc.

I could go on and on! Maybe sometime I will make a HUGE list for you. But for now, you can use this list in whatever way you would like. (see my happy mail Pinterest board HERE) But go above beyond this list and send happy mail!! Be CREATIVE and have fun!!!

Sorry bad picture. But you see my bucket of stuff, confetti, and envelopes!! :) I'm going shopping tonight and I will get more stuff for happy mail!!!

Weekly Random Act Of Kindness Challenge "Week #6"

Hi Everybody! Laying in bed last night, I realized I forgot to post the weekly RAOK challenge... Sorry. So I will post it now! :)

This week, go out of your way to be kind to someone. Whether it is holding a door for someone or sending a card in the mail. Be extra kind this week! And most importantly, SMILE to everyone you see! Sometimes your smile will be the only smile someone will get all day!

"Every time you smile st someone, it is an action of love, a gift to that person, a beautiful thing."
- Mother Teresa
"I will never understand all the good that a simple smile can accomplish."

My Trip to the Creation Museum!

This past week, my dad, me and a group of others, went down to the Creation Museum in KY. We went to volunteer there. We had a lot of fun! Besides working, we got to walk through the museum for free, ride the camels for free, and watch planetarium shows for free! The awesome benefits of volunteering!! :) The things we did were filling bags for the women's conference they had coming up, filling online orders at their warehouse, stocking selves in the bookstore, and organizing the room where the bookstore stores stuff. We also got to walk around the gardens!! The pictures below are of the gardens at the museum. They were very beautiful! I loved the pink trees! Enjoy the pictures!

This is one of my favorite pictures! The landscapes were so pretty!

Pink trees!! So pretty!

There were about five different waterfalls like this! I loved them!

Have a great day!!

For You, if You are Going Through Something Difficult in Your Life!

This post is for you if you are going through something difficult in your life. Just read and listen!

You are special and you matter. You are important to God.

No matter what you are going through, God will always be with you.
Deuteronomy 31:6
Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you.

I also want you to know you are an Overcomer!
What ever you are going through, you are an Overcomer. And you are going to overcome any problem with the help of Jesus!

Trust in God with ALL your heart! Don't rely on yourself. We are weak people, but God is strong! He always will be!
Proverbs 3:5:6
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not upon your own understanding. In all your ways, acknowledge him and He will make your paths straight.

Oh and by the way, the sun is rising!!! Even if you only feel like  you are in darkness, the sun is rising! Look up!

God is with you! He will strengthen you in hard times. He holds us in His hands. He loves you!
Isaiah 41:10
So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

If you feel down and hopeless, you are amazing! Just press on! God will be right beside you through it all! Remember, He loves you

Remember, through this all, God is going to make you stronger! When you get through, you are going to be stronger than when it started! God is right here for you through it all!!!

Jesus will take your burdens! Lay them all down at the feet of Jesus.
Matthew 11:28
"Come to me all you who are weary and carry heavy burdens and I will give you rest."

If you want more encouraging verses, visit my blog post HERE.
I hope this helped you! Always remember, God is with you and He will never leave you! He loves you and cares for you! He created you and thinks you are special! Have a blessed week!

Kindness at the Hospital

This past weekend, I went with my Mom up to my Grandma and Grandpa's house. My Grandma is in the hospital so we went to see her and we also made them freezer meals. But, since we were at the hospital.... I did RAOKs!!!!!

We went to see my Grandma 3 different days. And every time we went, I left quarters at the vending machines! And every time I went to leave more, the ones I left before were gone! :-)

Then I made up a little gift basket for the nurses caring for my Grandma. I took advantage of the 60 cent candy bars at the store, my Grandma's buckets of gift wrapping supplies, and her selves of baskets cause she does flower arranging as a hobby! :-) After a little time, I got this!!

"Thank you for being such good nurses to my Grandma!" :-)
There are so many other RAOK ideas that you can do at the hospital! I didn't really come prepared, but you could bring toys to the Children's part of the hopital (check with your local hospital on what you can or can't bring) or chemo care kits for the cancer centers. Big sister or brother kits. and SO much more! And let me tell you this, the nurses were so happy to be appreciated!! :-)
